ZAYRA F. CALDERON
Chief Executive Officer
Zayra F. Calderon helped establish the Duramed FUTURES Tour as the top women’s developmental tour in the world. She acquired partial ownership of the Tour in September 1996, later gaining full ownership. The LPGA Tour acquired the Duramed FUTURES Tour in July 2007. Calderon assumed her role as CEO in May 2000, and in January 2009, she was named as LPGA Senior Vice President of New Business Development with overall responsibility for the Duramed FUTURES Tour, as well as global sales and new business development.
Her leadership has led to significant milestones for the Duramed FUTURES Tour, including:
• Spearheaded designation as the LPGA’s developmental tour.
• Negotiated purchase of the Tour by the LPGA in July 2007.
• Negotiated the award of LPGA Tour cards to the top money winners on the Duramed FUTURES Tour final money list, starting with three cards from 1999-2002, five cards from 2003-2007, and 10 cards in 2008 to present.
• Signed a national title sponsorship in 2006, with Duramed Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
• Created a qualifying tournament for Duramed FUTURES Tour members
• Set a record season purse of $1.795 million in 2009
• Increased tournament purses with a goal to elevate all events to offer $100,000 or more.
• Enabled the Tour to contribute more than $4.5 million to charitable organizations through Duramed FUTURES Tour events
A native of Costa Rica, Central America, Calderon came to the United States in 1971 to attend graduate school at the State University of New York. After completing her Ph.D. in psychology, she became an associate professor at the University of Connecticut. In 1981, Calderon joined CIGNA Healthcare and spent the next two decades in a number of key management positions, including president and CEO of CIGNA Dental Health and later as senior vice president of CIGNA International, Latin America Division.
Calderon began playing golf in 1990. In 2000, she bought full ownership of the Duramed FUTURES Tour. She is a member of the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA). In 1996, she was named among the top three Hispanic women CEOs by the National Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and received the 1996 Corporate Achievement Award by Vista magazine. She was the recipient of the 2007 Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA) Leadership Award and was a speaker at the 2009 University of Miami School of Business forum, “Global Mindsets: Women in Leadership/ Leveraging Cross-Border Perspectives.”
NANCY B. HENDERSON
Chief Operating Officer
Nancy Henderson joins the Duramed FUTURES Tour staff in 2009 as its COO after spending the last two years as the Executive Director of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional (T&CP) membership. At the LPGA T&CP, she directed the day-to-day operation of the association, including its educational programs, tournament offerings, certification and testing. Henderson is a Class A professional of both the LPGA and PGA.
Prior to this appointment, Henderson was the Director of Golf and General Manager for seven years at LPGA International Golf Course, home of the Ladies Professional Golf Association. She planned, directed and supervised all aspects of daily operations and management of the entire golf complex, including clubhouse operations, food and beverage, golf course maintenance, marketing and public relations.
Henderson came to LPGA International after eight years at Orange Lake Resort and Country Club in Kissimmee, Fla., where she was named Director of the Year in 1998. She also was named 2001 National LPGA Professional of the Year for the LPGA T&CP. In addition, Henderson earned Player of the Year honors in 2003 and 2006, for the LPGA’s Southeast Section of the T&CP.
A native of Clearwater, Fla., Henderson is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and public relations. She was a member of the SMU women’s golf team, where she played on scholarship and had a collegiate-best runner-up finish. Following her collegiate career, she played on what was then the FUTURES Golf Tour from 1984-1987.
Prior to her administrative roles, Henderson focused on her playing career, winning a total of 300 tournaments. A former AJGA All-American, she was the 1983 Florida High School state champion, winner of several AJGA titles, and a two-time U.S. Women’s Open participant. As a professional, she won the 2003 LPGA T&CP Southeast Section Championship and qualified for the 2003 McDonald’s LPGA Championship. She also was runner-up in the 2008 LPGA T&CP National Mixed Team Championship. Henderson has recorded 13 holes-in-one in her playing career.
TRACY L. KERDYK
Vice President of New Business Development
Tracy L. Kerdyk, a native of Coral Gables, Fla., joined the Duramed FUTURES Tour staff in 1997, where she served as Director of Communications before being promoted in 1999 to her current position, Vice President of New Business Development. Kerdyk leads all aspects of new tournament and business development for the Tour.
Prior to joining the Tour, Kerdyk competed with exempt status on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour between 1988-1998. She recorded one victory at the 1995 JAL Big Apple Classic and finished 25th on the official 1996 LPGA year-end money list with six top-10 finishes. Since 1999, she has maintained her status with the LPGA in the Class A Tournament Division, Tournament Winner Category.
Kerdyk, a two-time National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) First Team All-American, set an NCAA record in 1988 with 11 individual collegiate tournament victories. She was the recipient of three honors in 1988, including the NCAA Collegiate Player of the Year, the NGCA Player of the Year, and the Golfweek Magazine Collegiate Player of the Year. In 1999, Kerdyk was inducted into the University of Miami’s Sports Hall of Fame and the Coral Gables (Fla.) High School Hall of Fame.
Since 1983, Kerdyk has maintained an active role in the Coral Gables community and serves on numerous boards, including the Doral Publix Junior Championship Committee. Kerdyk graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Politics and Public Affairs.

Lisa D. Mickey
